Pantai Esen Tua Pek Kong Temple (GPS: 5.26185, 100.2739), also known by its official name Kong1 Hock1 Su2 廣福祠 , Pinyin: Guǎngfú Cí) is a small Chinese temple in the jungle at Pantai Esen in Permatang Damar Laut, Penang.

Within the compound of the Pantai Esen Tua Pek Kong Temple is a separate shrine house for the Datuk Kong. As is the usual practise, the local earth spirit dwells in its own separate shrine.

The prayer hall of Kong Hock Si is built into the natural hill side, incorporating the boulders and rocks of the terrain. It holds a number of Taoist deities. It has a single prayer hall in which the idols of the deities are arrayed. Tua Pek Kong is the principal deity here. As such, it is often simply regarded as a Tua Pek Kong temple.

Getting there

Kong Hock Si is reached by taking a jungle path that continues from the beach at Permatang Damar Laut. The jungle path winds its way through remnants of a rubber plantation, past a banyan tree, to end at the temple. Journey from the beach area to the temple is about ten minutes.
