The Kedai Kopi Classic Hokkien Mee is a famous Hokkien Mee stall in Penang. It operates every morning out of Kedai Kopi Classic along Perak Road. I was recommended to try this Hokkien Mee by quite a number of people, so I went there with high expectations.

Although it looks good in the photograph, the Kedai Kopi Classic Hokkien Mee is below my expectation. For the price charged (RM4.50 for the big bowl in 2008), the portion is very little and the ingredients lacking, or as we say in Penang Hokkien, boh3 ho1liau33.

At the price charged, other places would have offered spare ribs, but over here, it only offers small prawns, not even a single big one. Nevertheless, it has obviously riding on its reputation, for the coffee shop is filled with expectant customers. The result, however, is a long waiting time. Although the Kedai Kopi Classic Hokkien Mee is popular, it isn't among my favourite Hokkien Mee stalls.

Kedai Kopi Classic is located along Perak Road, approximately opposite the MPPP Sport Club, next to the Dato Kramat Police Station.
