Jalan Talipon (20 March 2013)
Jalan Talipon which translates as Telephone Road is a minor road in George Town. It runs from Madras Lane to Kinta Lane.
Jalan Talipon is named after the telecommunications facility located there, now called TM. Although the word for telephone in Malay is now spelled telefon, the road retains its original spelling of Jalan Talipon.
