Munshi Ghat as seen from the Ganges in Varanasi. (16 November, 2004)
Munshi Ghat is a short ghat located north of
Dashaswamedh Ghat, between
Ahilyabai Ghat and
Darbhanga Ghat along
the Ganges in Varanasi. Its proximity to Dashaswamedh Ghat means that the Munshi Ghat is choked full of boats. By the way, the word "munshi" means "accountant" in Hindi.
I passed by Munshi Ghat as I was Ganges south of Dashaswamedh Ghat. It is one of the many ghats that line the Ganges, appearing one after the other in quick succession.
