Dhobies doing the laundry at Babua Pandey Ghat, Varanasi. (16 November, 2004)
The Babua Pandey Ghat is located south of Dashaswamedh Ghat, between Digpatiya Ghat and Raja Ghat. It consists of a narrow slope down towards the river. There is no impressive architecture here. The place is used by the dhoby to do their laundry.
I passed through Babua Pandey Ghat when I was riverbank of the Ganges. I also saw it from the river when I went boating in the morning. Although this is a wide ghat, it slopes, so there isn't many people here, except for dhobies doing laundry.
