Rock Royalty Level is the executive level at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. And as with all things at this hotel, the rock 'n roll theme is applied here. Thus the executive level of this hotel is known as the Rock Royalty Level. It is for the use of guests staying at the Rock Royalty Seaview, Seaview Studio Suite, Rock Star Suite and Kings Suite of the hotel. Other guests wishing to enjoy the privileges have to pay extra.

It is located on the sixth floor of the hotel, which is the top floor. As with elsewhere in this Rock 'n Roll-inspired hotel, rock star memorabilia are set up for gawking and worshipping. Yes, everything we saw is real, the jackets, the shoes, the sequined dresses - they were all worn by the artistes. There is a luxurious flamboyance in the decor, and thus, it was a complete privilege that my wife and I had the opportunity to occupy a Rock Royalty Seaview Deluxe Room on this floor.

Most executive levels would have its own executive lounge, and it's true for Hard Rock Hotel Penang as well. This is where guests can cocoon themselves away from the crowds. It's called the Rock Royalty Level Lounge, and in the parlance of the hotel, this is where Rock Stars jam. The lounge has a balcony offering possibly the best seaviews of the hotel.

The Rock Royalty Level lounge is open daily from 7:00am to 10:30pm. Breakfast is available here, exclusive to guests of the Rock Royalty Level, from 7:00am to 11:00am. Hi-Tea is served from 3:00pm to 4:00pm while Cocktail is served from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Since this lounge is for exclusive guests, the buffet is at a more modest scale. However, one can be assured of more serenity here.

In addition to the buffet and dining area, the Rock Royalty Level Lounge also has a TV Lounge, with sofa, for guest to watch TV, while larger-than-life portraits of the King of Rock 'N Roll watches them. Across the hall is another lounge, a sitting area with coaches and pillows of Marilyn Monrow and Elizabeth Taylor. This part of the Rock Royalty Lounge is stately in its decor, with wood panelled walls and thick carpeting over its timber floors.

The Rock Royalty Level is the ultimate in comfort at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. If you have the means, it is the culmination of a memorable holiday in this resort hotel.
