Penang Lang Porridge Fest, Flamingo Hotel By The Beach (6 October 2018)
Penang Lang, what do you do on a lazy Sunday afternoon? Well, you can high tail to Flamingo Hotel By The Beach. Every Sunday in October, 2018, they are having the Penang Lang Porridge Fest Sunday Buffet Lunch. It is held from 12:30pm to 2:30 pm, and is priced at just RM28 nett per adult and RM18 nett per child.
It is az buffet for porridge lovers. My wife and I had the privilege of trying it on its opening day - today, 7 October, 2018! We saw there were four different types of porridge - plain porridge, potato porridge, goji berry porridge and chicken porridge - and over a dozen porridge accompaniments, including braised peanuts, preserved turnip and daikon, mackerel in black beans, salted duck eggs, century eggs fermented tofu (tauju), fried anchovies, and more. In addition, there are also dishes including chicken, beef, fish and more, as well as kerabu, kuih, cakes, puddings, fruits, to name some. There is even bubur kacang hijau, bubur pulut hitam and bubur gandum.
