River Road

Jalan Sungai
River Road, or Jalan Sungai, is a road George Town, Penang. It runs from Jalan Sungai Pinang to Jalan Gurdwara (Brick Kiln Road). In doing so, it crosses Sungai Pinang, the river that give it its name.
River Road is located in the working class neighbourhood of the city. The housing here is in the form of low cost flats, many of which are in a deplorable state. The city slaughterhouse is also located on River Road.
Getting there
Rapid Penang Bus 206, 301, 401 and 401A pass through River Road.
