Kampung Jawa

Kampung Jawa is an area in Bayan Baru. It comprises the residential area as well as the industrial area. Within the residential area is the commercial street, Lorong Kampung Jawa, with shophouses and coffee shops at both ends. The residential properties at Kampung Jawa range from low-cost single-storey link houses to medium-cost double storey link houses. The industrial area of Kampung Jawa is part of the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone.

Traffic

Kampung Jawa is bordered by the Bayan Lepas Expressway to the west, Sungai Nibong Expressway to the north, and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah to the east. All three are major roads that become highly congested during rush hour. At other times, traffic is smooth. The main road across Kampung Jawa is Jalan Kampung Jawa. There is a customs gate across this road that is closed during weekends.
