Isles, islets and outcrops

The islands around Penang range from a few hundred hectares in size to tiny rocky outcrops. In total, there are just fewer than ten islands located around Penang Island. The nature of the mountain range on Penang island makes many of the offshore outcrops extensions of the main island. Among these, Pulau Rimau, Pulau Kendi, Pulau Betong and Lovers' Isle are extensions of hills on the main island. These are all tiny islands no bigger than a few hectares. All are uninhabited, with only occasional visits by fishermen and anglers.

On this page we list all the islands surrounding Penang Island.
