The Bayan Baru Market is the biggest market in the Bayan Lepas area of Penang. Officially known as the Bayan Baru Market Complex and Community Hall (Kompleks Pasar dan Balai Rakyat Bayan Baru), it was built by the Penang Island Municipal Council (Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang) to cater to the booming township of Bayan Baru.

The Bayan Baru Market has expanded a few times since the township was established. In the earliest stage, the market was sited on an open piece of land with just basic structures. Over the years, these were renovated and expanded. The Bayan Baru Market, in its present incarnation, was completed in the early part of 2000. It houses a wet market in the front portion while the dry market is located closer to the Bayan Baru Hawker Centre. Various sections cater to the poultry section, butcher section and a non-halal section.
