Việt Trì is a small city in northeastern Vietnam. It is the provincial capital of Phu Tho Province. Covering 110 sq km, it has a population of 260,000 people (2011 estimate).
Việt Trì is located about 70 km to the northwest of Hanoi, where the Red River meets the Lot River. The city comprises 13 neighbourhoods or wards. Its primary industries include clothes and paper manufacturing. Due to its industrial base, the city has grown quite rapidly over the past decade.
