Museum of Vietnamese History also known as Bao Tang Lich Su, is a museum in Ho Chi Minh city housing a treasure trove of artifacts. You can find here items from prehistoric times, such as stone age tools, right down to the various artifacts from the different eras. Among the most interesting items on display are the bronze drums of the Dong Son civilization.

There's a vast collection of ancient jewelry and garments as well as relics from the various civilizations that have appeared in Vietnam. They include items from the Nguyen Dynasty, along with those from the Cham and Khmer civilizations. There is even a mummy from 1869.
The Museum of Vietnamese History is located within the grounds of the Saigon Zoo, so you can actually visit to sites within the same venue.
