Chua Quan SuChua Quan Su (2 September 2006)


Chua Quan Su, or Quan Su Pagoda, is one of the main Vietnamese-styled temples in Hanoi. Located at 73 Quan Su Street, it is also known as the Ambassador's Pagoda, and houses the largest Buddhist library in Vietnam. The term "pagoda" of often used in Vietnam to refer to temples, as in the case of this "pagoda", which also houses the headquarters of the Vietnam Unified Buddhist Association, a major Buddhist learning and research centre.

The inside of the Quan Su Pagoda are many finely carved statues, some dating back to the 15th century.

Getting there

Quan Su Pagoda is located a short distance from the Melia Hanoi. From Melia Hanoi, turn right along Ly Thuong Kiet Street, with Melia Hanoi on your right. At the junction with Quan Su Street, turn left. Quan Su Pagoda is located on the left side of the road, about midway down Quan Su Street.
