Purple Yam Kuih is a kuih made with purple yam 紫山药 or Dioscorea alata. This is an experiment by my wife. She wasn't quite satisfied with the results, because the kuih sank a bit after it came out of the oven. However, when we tasted it, we both agreed that it is very delicious. Maybe next time we will try again.
