PFS Bicentenary Dinner

PFS Bicentenary Dinner is the granddaddy of all school reunions in Malaysia. Held on Speech Day, which is 21 October, 2016, it brought the alumni of the school from all over the world to converge on the school field, where a large makeshift tent was erected to shelter close to five hundred tables. Attending the do are some 3,130 ex-students, making it the largest alumni gathering, according to the Malaysia Book of Records.

As an alumnus of Penang Free School, I also joined my former school mates. Our Class of 82/84 occupies 17 tables, making it one of the larger "contingents" at the Bicentenary Dinner. It was a grand occasion where I got to meet up with friends I have not seen for decades. I am so glad to see them at the dinner. I brought my wife along, so that she could meet up with my old schoolmates.
