Pantai Kuala Muda, Penaga, Penang (14 November 2015)


Pantai Kuala Muda (GPS: 5.57502, 100.33901) is a beach in Penaga, Seberang Perai Utara. Located near the mouth of Sungai Muda, the beach is a local recreational area. The sea here is shallow, and it is possible to walk on the mudflats at low tide. To prevent coastal erosion, the coastline of Pantai Kuala Muda has been reenforced with rocks. Beaches are lined along the coastline for visitors to enjoy the sea breeze.

The beach of Pantai Kuala Muda is near the local mosque, Masjid Jamek Al Hidayah. Also within a short distance is the local Fishermen's Market, where the fishing boats arrive with their catch. It is a place to buy the freshest catch as they arrive to shore.
