It serves the campus of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and nearby residential and institutional areas. The station lies between Serdang Jaya MRT Station (PY33) to the north and Taman Equine MRT Station (PY36) to the south, with the planned Taman Universiti MRT Station (PY35) to be added in the future between them1.
