Sultan Abdul Samad Mausoleum (GPS: 2.82991, 101.42172) is the mausoleum of the Sultan of Selangor who located his royal capital in
Jugra, in
Kuala Langat District. The mausoleum is located on a knoll at
Bukit Jugra. The site was chosen in 1886 as the final resting place for members of the Selangor royal family.
The Mausoleum of Sultan Abdul Samad is a standalone building topped with an onion dome. Sultan Abdul Samad passed away in 1898 and was buried here. Surrounding the mausoleum are the graves of other members of the Selangor royal family, in particular the children of Sultan Abdul Samad. Among those who were buried here include Tengku Muda Musa, Tunku Alfa binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Samad, Tunku Jaafar, Tunku Yaakob, Tunku Maharum, Raja Berkat, and Tengku Muteh ibni Sultan Abdul Samad. In addition, there are smaller mausoleum in the area, including those for Raja Kahar, Tengku Maharum and Raja Muda Musa.
