Damansara Utama is a bustling and well-established township located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It is part of the greater Damansara area, which includes nearby neighbourhoods such as Bandar Utama and Damansara Jaya. History of Damansara Utama
Damansara Utama was developed in the late 1980s as part of Petaling Jaya’s westward expansion. Its strategic location between Kuala Lumpur and Subang Jaya made it highly attractive for both residential and commercial growth. The area’s most famous landmark, Damansara Uptown, grew from a modest row of shophouses into one of Petaling Jaya’s most prominent business districts, attracting offices, banks, cafés, and boutiques.
