Masjid Al-Hussain (GPS: 6.39703, 100.1282) is the main mosque in Kuala Perlis. It is built on stilts over the coast, to appear as though floating over the sea. The mosque has a patterned cup-shaped dome over a single-tier hip roof. The minaret ends with a dual column. Masjid Al-Hussain looks very nice especially during sunset.

Masjid Al-Hussain was built by a local businessman, Tan Sri Mohd Ariffin Yusuf, based on design concept inspired by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Syed Sirajuddin Jamalulail. The mosque was named in honour of Tan Sri Mohd Ariffin Yusuf's late brother.

A unique feature of Masjid Al-Hussain is that the walls are finished using a variety of items, from corals to granite, marble and pebbles, rather than painted. The cup-shaped dome bears a cream-and-blue design comprising a layer of Polyvinylidene Diffluoride that offers protection to the surface.
