Semanggol (GPS: 4.94986, 100.62944) is a small town as well as county (mukim) in the Kerian district in northwestern Perak. It takes its name from Gunung Semanggol, a limestone mount in the area.
The mukim of Semanggol also includes Bukit Merah. The town of Semanggol is also called Simpang Empat or Simpang Ampat, because it is located at the crossroad of Federal Road 1 (old trunk road) and State Route A100 (Jalan Gula).
