Jambatan Iskandar, Kuala Kangsar (16 September, 2005)

The
Iskandar Bridge (GPS: 4.81831, 100.9639) crosses the Perak River near Kuala Kangsar. This steel bridge was constructed by James Craig Ltd of Klang between 1928-1932 for the British administration. The Iskandar Bridge carried the main trunk road that runs the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia.
Today the newer
Sultan Abdul Jalil Bridge, which is closer to Kuala Kangsar, takes some load off this heritage Iskandar Bridge. I shot the Iskandar Bridge when a group of AsiaExplorers members and I were sightseeing Kuala Kangsar on our way to
Cameron Highlands.
