Jalan Kampung, Kuala Lumpur

Jalan Kampung, Kuala LumpurJalan Kampung, Kuala Lumpur (2 August, 2019)

Jalan Kampung is a minor road in the Bukit Bintang neighbourhood of Kuala Lumpur. It connects Jalan Barat in the south to Jalan Bukit Bintang in the north. In between, it forms junctions with Jalan Melur, Jalan Melati, Jalan Utara, Jalan Kamuning, Jalan Inai and Jalan Jati.

The traffic flow on Jalan Kampung is not the same the whole way. On the southernmost stretch, it is a one-way street from Jalan Barat heading to Jalan Melur. At Jalan Melur, traffic from Jalan Kampung enters from two one-way directions. Then, at the Jalan Utara intersection, traffic is in opposite directions towards Jalan Melur and towards Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Jalan Kampung was originally known as Village Road, as it led from Jalan Bukit Bintang to a village that now long gone. The whole portion of land on the southern part of Jalan Kampung has been cleared for the development of the Tun Razak Exchange.
