Pulau Gubang Laut is one of the many small islands in the Langkawi Archipelago. It is located to the southwest of Pulau Dayang Bunting, and is paired with another island closer to Pulau Dayang Bunting, namely Pulau Gubang Darat. Both are undeveloped and uninhabited. Pulau Gubang Laut is just one of many more karst islands on the south side of Pulau Dayang Bunting. The rest includes Pulau Tajai, Pulau Ketumbu, Pulau Balar, Pulau Batang, Pulau Selat Riang Riang and Pulau Ujong Buloh.
