Jitra, Kedah (30 July, 2016)
Jitra (GPS: 6.26308, 100.42121) is a town in Kedah. The town is located in Kubang Pasu District, to the north of Alor Setar but south of Changlun.
Jitra is today the fourth largest town in Kedah, after the state capital, Sungai Petani and Kulim. It is home to Universiti Utara Malaysia, which is located 35 kilometers to the northeast of the Jitra town centre.
