Buluh Kasap Broken Bridge or
Jambatan Putus Buluh Kasap is a broken bridge across the
Muar River. It is located in the village of Buluh Kasap, just north of
Segamat, Johor. The bridge was demolished by the British to check the advancing Japanese army on its way to
Singapore. However it was a futile attempt as the Japanese army managed to take over Segamat almost effortlessly.
After the war, a new bridge was constructed beside the broken bridge, which remains to this day as a historical war relic.
