Federal Route 189 is a federal road in the East Coast. It connects Bachok, Kelantan through Besut, Terengganu to end at Federal Route 3 in Jerteh.

Federal Route 189 connects State Route 5 (also called Jalan Bachok), at the junction with Federal Route 211 in the north, to State Route D10 in the south. After a short stretch of State Route 10, Federal Route 189 continues from there to end at Federal Route 189 is also called Jalan Pantai Irama, as it passes through Pantai Irama.

In Besut, Federal Route 189 meets Federal Route 84 in a T-junction. It continues to the right, on Jalan Kuala Besut, which is also signaged as Federal Route 84. Federal Route 189 comes to an end at the T-junction with Federal Route 3 in Seberang Jertah.
