Vat Chanthaburi is a Buddhist monastery along Fa Ngum Quay in Vientiane, Laos. This is the main road that faces the Mekong River. Vat Chanthaburi is located within the vicinity of Vat Xieng Nyeun, Vat Ong Teu, Vat Mixai, Vat Haysoke and Vat Inpeng.
Vat Chanthaburi houses a big bronze seated Buddha image. The statue is said to have survived a number of calamities. Also worth viewing is a series of wooden panels that are ornately carved.
