Children buying ice-cream from an old ice-cream seller in front of 21 & 23 King Street (7 June 2004)
Diorama of King Street, George Town is one of the dioramas depicting scenes of life in Penang. The diorama depicts a row of shophouses on
King Street. The façade of each shophouse is meticulously rendered to be as true to the actual as possible.
Here we see children gathered around an old ice-cream seller with his three-wheel cart. Further along the road, there's an Indian hawker selling kuih. Traditional push carts are depicted, along with the iron-grills of store fronts, all in amazing detail.
