We usually go to the Jelutong Market very early in the morning, but this Saturday we woke up late, and by the time we arrived at the market, we could not find a single spot to park. As we drove along Lebuhraya Jelutong, we saw that the elderly couple selling the RM1 nasi lemak have just begun their journey.
Today apparently they were late also, otherwise they would have arrived at Ipoh Lane. Doesn't matter. Upon seeing them, my wife and I quickly decided that we would buy the nasi lemak for lunch today. We bought two packets each, one ikan (fish) and one telur (egg). This is only the second time we bought the nasi lemak, and the first time for me, to speak to the hawkers.
I found that both the lady and the man were very friendly. Even as we were driving away, the lady even waved goodbye to us, and my wife managed to wave back.
