Javana Lounge is the huge lobby lounge of PARKROYAL Penang Resort. This is where arriving guests are welcome to the resort. Rather than having to stand at the counter for check in, PARKROYAL Penang Resort believes if giving guest a personalized experience, where they can begin their holiday in comfort, while being served with their welcome drinks.
Javana Lounge offers various snacks and drinks, including the premium-quality Ronnefeldt Tea, which is also available for purchase here.
During the afternoon, it offers
T-Time, an afternoon tea comprising either Penang Nyonya Set or Western Set. This is available daily from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. During Saturdays and Sundays, guests are also entertained by a live Gamelan performance here.
When my wife and I were guests of the resort, we opted for the Penang Nyonya Set. This was brought to our table in a lovely tiffin carrier. In addition, there were plates of various local titbits, such as
roti jala, which is served with chicken curry. It is just like what we would be enjoying within a Penang Nyonya household. We both agreed that the chicken curry is very rich - not for those who are health conscious, but certainly for those who love good food.
