Domoto Insho Museum (GPS: 35.03513, 135.72606), also called the Kyoto Prefectural Insho-Domoto Museum of Fine Arts, is a museum located not far from the Kinkakuji, on the Kinukake-no-Michi, the road skirting the base of the Kitayama mountain in northern Kyoto. The museum houses the works of nihonga master, Domoto Insho (1891-1975), who creates Japanese-style "paintings" using fresco-like technique.
