Katagami (Japanese: 潟上市) is a city in the central western part of Akita Prefecture, Japan. It faces the Sea of Japan.
Katagami covers 97.96 sq km (37.82 sq mi) and has a population of 34,000 people (2012 estimate). It was only formed in 2005 when the towns of Tenno, Iitagawa and Showa were merged.
