Sipisopiso Waterfall emerges from an underground cave to plunge 120 meters.
Sipisopiso is a waterfall near
Tongging, on the northwestern tip of
Lake Toba. The name Sipisopiso means "like knives" (ie. "seperti pisau-pisau" in Malay). Sipisopiso is visible from the vantage point at Tongging, where one can also enjoy scenic views of Lake Toba.
Sipisopiso Waterfall emerges from an underground river in the Karo plateau and plunges 120 meters (some sites put it as 110m) off a sheer cliff into the ravine below. I photographed Sipisopiso from the vantage point at Tongging, when I and a small group of AsiaExplorers members were on our way to Lake Toba.
