Jogindernagar (Hindi: जोगिन्दर नगर, Punjabi: ਜੋਗਿੰਦਰ ਨਗਰ, Urdu: جوگندر نگار) is a small town in Mandi district, in the central part of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is often nicknamed the City of Powerhouses, because it is the only town in Asia, and probably the whole world, to have three hydro-electric power stations.
The history of Jogindernagar, which is also written as Joginder Nagar or Jogindar Nagar, is tied to hydroelectricity. It was established in 1925 as part of a hydroelectric scheme. A narrow-gauge railway track was then laid connecting it with Pathankot.
Today Jogindernagar is developing into a destination for adventure sports particularly paragliding. The places for paragliding activities are Jhatingri and Dhelu.
