    Jip1 lai2 lah4. Pnui33 leng4 liau4!
  3. Tell me why, only men are killed.
    Ka3 wah1 kong4, ha1mik1 su33 ka3nia33 ta3por1 mor3sat3 lang2?
  4. You're right!
    Lu4 tiok1 lah3!
  5. There is a legend about the lotus flower.

How do you pronounce Pan Mee 板面? I believe it is usually pronounced pan2 mee33 . However, if we take the word pan4 板, the right pronunciation ought to be pan1 mee33 . Unfortunately, I think nobody pronounces it pan1 mee33, do they?

How do you pronounce the word 青苔 for moss or lichen in Penang Hokkien? Do you say chnae3ti2 or chnae3thi2 ? For example, "The drain is growing moss", do you say, "Long3kau1 snaeh3 chnae3ti2" or "Long3kau1 snaeh3 chnae3thi2" ?
