Gurdwara Sahib Bayan Baru (12 December 2015)


Gurdwara Sahib Bayan Baru (GPS: 5.31612, 100.28637) is a Sikh temple in Bayan Baru. Originally located off Jalan Mahsuri, it will relocate to its new site in Sungai Keluang when the new temple building is completed. Ground breaking for the new Gurdwara was held on 5 November, 2011, in the presence of Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng.

The new Gurdwara Sahib Bayan Baru was made possible with the approval from the state government to sell the 5000-square-feet piece of land to the community. The temple is sited on Jalan Tokong Ular, an inofficial name for the remnant of the old Bayan Lepas Main Road before realignment to create present-day Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
