Guillemard Sluice Control Room (23 December 2020)
Guillemard Sluice Control Room are small structures located a short distance from the Guillemard Reservoir. Their purpose is believed to control and regulate the outflow of water from the reservoir. As with the reservoir, it was built in the late 1920s. There is one at
Pepper Estate (GPS: 5.45446, 100.29935) and another at
Jalan Lembah Permai (GPS: 5.45732, 100.28906). One of these houses a venturi meter to measure the outflow of the discharge. These are now managed by the Penang Waterworks Authority (Pihak Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang, PBA).
