Gu Bak Koay Teow (Penang Hokkien: Gu3 Bak1 Koay1 Teow2 ), or Beef Kway Teow, is a beef noodle dish sold by some hawkers in Penang. It is similar to Koay Teow Thng, except that the main ingredient is beef and other beef derivatives. Ingredients include beef balls, beef slices and offal. The dish is available with koay teow as well as with rice. A bowl costs anywhere from RM6 to RM10 depending on size - due to the ingredients used, it is much more expensive compared to a bowl of Koay Teow Thng. Gu Bak Koay Teow is served with a condiment of hot chilli sauce.
