Capaccio is a small town in the province of Salerno, in the region of Campania, in southwestern Italy. It covers 112 sq km (43 sq mi) and has a population of 21,000 people (2012 estimate).
Visitors come to Capaccio mostly to visit the ruins of Paestum, a Graeco-Roman city within the town limits of Capaccio. There are many sights here including the Temple of Poseidon, Temple of Hera, the amphitheater, the Roman Forum and other sights.

The nearest major city is Naples. From there take the A3 (E45) expressway heading east till Battipaglia, then continue south on the SS18 route to reach Capaccio.
