Homburg is a town in the district of Saarpfalz, in the state of Saarland in central western Germany. It covers 83 sq km (32 sq mi) and has a population of 44,000 people (2012 estimate). The town is close to the border between Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, on the northern part of the state.
