Coconut Tarts

Coconut tarts (20 September 2014)


Coconut Tarts are a local pastry. My wife makes these for tea time today (20 September 2014). It is tarts pastry topped with grated coconut mixed with a bit of sugar, salt and flour for binding. These are then baked in the oven. They taste best when they are fresh out of the oven.

I only managed to eat two. BTW, that's coffee, not tea, I seldom take tea. We collected the rest of the coconut tarts and brought them to my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. On the way out, encountered our neighbor, so gave her one too. Told my wife the two coconut tarts are enough to spoil my appetite for dinner.
