Chinese Opera 3D Mural, Made In Penang Interactive Museum (2 November 2013)


The Chinese Opera 3D Mural is one of the murals at the Made In Penang Interactive Museum. It depicts a performer of the Chinese opera have her make up applied, and was horrified to have a make-up artist smear the lip gloss. A giant brush appears as though held by a subject.

The Chinese Opera 3D Mural celebrates the Teochew and Hokkien operas staged particularly during the Hungry Ghost Festival, as well as during the feast days of various Taoist deities, as a form of entertainment to the gods and to the devotees.
