Carnarvon Street Tiger Char Koay Teow

It's been a year since I last ate at Carnarvon Street Tiger Char Koay Teow, so my wife and I decided to revisit the stall. Considering how small the portion has been the last time we came, this time I ordered two big plates and specified "extra koay teow please".

I do not remember whether I specified duck egg or chicken egg, but when our order arrived, the price per plate was RM7.00. Later on, I checked the price list at their stall, and it states RM6.50 for big with duck egg. So I suppose I was charged RM7.00 per plate with RM0.50 for extra koay teow.

It is certainly more satisfying with extra koay teow. Otherwise I feel it is not enough for me. I do notice that the koay teow appears slightly thinner than before. Maybe they got their koay teow supplies from a different vendor. The prawns are also smaller now, compared to the last times that I visited here, when the prawns were huge. But other than that, I am fine with the taste. Having said that, I will continue to "shop around" by patronizing other char koay teow stalls, looking for options that are cheaper and with bigger prawns.
