Kampot is the capital of Kampot Province, Cambodia. Located near the coast at the Gulf of Thailand, Kampot has a population of about 45,000 (2011 estimate).
Most people reach Kampot from Sihanoukville by shared taxi or minibus. You can also enquire with your hotel in Sihanoukville or Phnom Penh for arrangement to visit the town.

Kampot Mangrove The coastal mangrove at Kampot is now being developed for eco-tourism. You can visit the mangrove on long-tail boat to view the flora and fauna of the area.
Pepper Farms Pepper is one of the main cash crops in Kampot. There are pepper farms all around town.
Phnom Bokor National Park A highland national park with superb views of the Gulf of Thailand.
Phnom Chhnork A collection of pre-Angkorian ruins erected during the Kingdom of Funan in the 6th and 7th century AD, are found in an isolated hill area, accessed through paddy fields.
Teuk Chhouu Local picnic area in Kampot, beside a river where you can go swimming or tubing. There are stalls selling fruits, drinks and local snacks.
