The Large Pond is the largest pond within Angkor Thom Royal Palace and is located close to the northern enclosure wall. It measures 125 meters by 45 meters, and was likely built by Jayavarman VIII. The circumference is faced with sandstones.

On the south and west side of the pond is a wall with bas-reliefs. These include crocodiles, fish, horse and cow heads as well as rows of princes and princesses.
