Butter Fruit Cake with Almond Topping (25 January 2017)
It's 25 January today. We are now just two days from Chinese New Year, and the baking is happening relentlessly. Yesterday my wife made Tnee Kuih. Today she is once again making Tnee Kuih, and per special request from me, this time she is adding some brown sugar, because I want to see how that looks like.
In addition to making Tnee Kuih, she is also baking a cake. Tonight's cake is the Butter Fruit Cake with Almond Topping. She baked two. The bigger one is for her mother, while the smaller one we keep for ourselves.
