BPO Prime, Bayan Baru

BPO Prime is a mixed-development property being planned in Bayan Baru, Penang. A joint venture between Penang Development Corporation (PDC) with Temasek and Economic Development Innovation Singapore (EDIS), it will occupy the site of the present Penang Development Corporation building, at the corner of Jalan Mahsuri and Persiaran Mahsuri.

BPO Prime comprises a podium with two tower blocks of 29 storeys and 25 storeys. It will be a centre for business process outsourcing, hence BPO. In addition to office units, it will have retail outlets and recreational facilities, and will be one of buildings with Multimedia Super Corridor status in Bayan Baru.

BPO Prime will be one of two projects being developed by PDC and Temasek, of which PDC will have a 51% stake. The other project will be the Penang International Technology Park, or PITP, to be developed in Batu Kawan. These will be managed by the Economic Development Innovations Singapore Pte Ltd when completed.
