Boys at Play dioramaBoys at Play diorama (7 June 2004)

Boys at Play is a set of dioramas depicting traditional games. It is one of the earlier sculptures by local sculptor Khoo Chooi Hooi, who is better known for his dioramas at the Made In Penang Interactive Museum.

There are at least three different scenes depicted here. One shows a group of boys playing sepak takraw, a traditional ball game played with a rattan ball. Another shows a scene from soccer, and a yet another, depicted within a bird cage, shows the game of top spinning. Each of these scenes provide a glimpse at traditional games and sports by the bygone era.
